Dorset Taekwondo Association is proud to announce it has just been granted (November 2019) the nationally recognised Clubmark award. To achieve this Sport England accreditation our standards of coaching, safety, fairness, safeguarding and management were all externally assessed and we have been found to be a well-run club.

Our assessor was particularly impressed when he visited a training session stating there was a “confidence and supportive atmosphere”, “excellent inclusion” and a “positive and safe environment for the activities of the club to take place”

Clubs awarded Clubmark can be very proud of what they have achieved. This has only been made possible through all the hard work and dedication of its Chief instructor, management, coaches, volunteers, students and all members. Clubmark awarded clubs demonstrate a commitment to developing junior sport. It means parents can be assured that their children belong to a safer club. Members can be sure their club is a well-managed club, striving to offer the best in coaching and sports development.

This Nationally recognised Sport England Accreditation has been the culmination of many hours work over the 2019. Policies and Procedures have been reviewed and rewritten. A special mention to DTA coach Paul Western who literally had sleepless nights in the run up to the audit.
